Resilience Enhancement at Edge Cloud Systems

It is becoming common practice to push interactive and location-based services from remote datacenters resource-constrained edge domains. This trend creates new management challenges at the network edge, not least ensure resilience. These now need be investigated overcome. In this paper, we explore use of open-source programmable asset orchestration cloud systems guarantee operational resilience a satisfactory performance level despite system incidents such as faults, congestion, or cyber-attacks. We discuss design deployment cross-level configurable solution, Resilient Edge Cloud Systems (RECS). Results appropriate tests made on RECS highlight positive effects deploying novel service resource algorithms both data control planes mitigate against disruptive events channel issues, overload, link congestion. offers following benefits: i) switch automatically selects standalone operation mode after its disconnection upper-level controllers; ii) virtualized made, according client requests; iii) requests are served by related traffic balanced among alternative on-demand routing paths location where each available for clients; iv) TCP quality protected unfair competitiveness UDP flows; v) set redundant controllers orchestrated top-level multi-thread cluster manager, using protocol with low overhead.
